Once there was a residue material from digital biosynthesis.

 

Scientists considered it a dead piece of matter.

 

A strange substance, really.

 

Little did they know, it had agency of its own,

a conscience, in a sense.

 

It resembles an ecotone.

 

It is a place of perpetual transition.

 

A never-ending becoming.

 

Ecotone serves as the meeting point.

 

They never stop moving

 

Always trying to stay away from the binary code.

 

It’s gooey and soft and it lubricates all

the insides.

 

To reform constantly.

 

Again, and again.

 

Then, without prior notice, the blob collapses once again,

 

the vortex swallowed by non-linear time,

 

only so it can reappear somewhere else.
